Today, 9 August 2014 is 69th anniversary of the day that the US government
dropped a plutonium bomb on Nagasaki, Japan at 11:02 a.m.

Forty thousand - 40,000- human beings were vaporized in less than a second.
The final death toll was 73,884 and a further 74,909 were injured. Each
person had a family, or friends, their own lives and history and stories.
Each one deserved to live.

Atomic weapons are not just weapons of mass destruction (WMDs); they
are genocidal weapons. America has a history of conducting genocidal wars
and campaigns. Before Europeans arrived on the shores of what is now called
the United States roughly 12 million Indians lived on what is know the 
continental United States. That's what US government and historical data
reports.

At the beginning of the 20th century, roughly 250,000 Native Americans 
had survived.  That's less than 2% of the original population survived.
Those who did survive were put into concentration or Prisoner of War 
camps called 'Reservations.' Most Americans don't like to dwell on that.

The tactics used by the American military in the Vietnam War were from
the tactics used against Native Americans, and later refined in the
Philippine–American War 1899-1902. Scorched earth policies, not taking
prisoners(When I went to the Vietnam War I was told by other marines 'we
don't take prisoners.' It was considered a badge of honor; but it is one of
the gravest war crimes).

To justify the use of those bombs against the Japanese people and cities
which had no military value the US government contrived lies to tell the
American people. They said that had they not dropped the bombs upwards
of one million US military personnel would have been killed in invading
Japan.

That was a blatant lie. Almost every military person in commanding positions
was against the use of the bomb. Admiral William D. Leahy, President 
Truman's Chief of Staff said:

'[T]he use of this barbarous weapon at Hiroshima and Nagasaki was of no 

material assistance in our war against Japan. The Japanese were already 

defeated and ready to surrender. . . .

    [I]n being the first to use it, we . . . adopted an ethical standard common 
to the barbarians of the Dark Ages. I was not taught to make war in that 
fashion, and wars cannot be won by destroying women and children.

As early as 18 June 1945, Leahy wrote in his diary: 'It is my opinion at the
present time that a surrender of Japan can be arranged with terms that can 
be accepted by Japan and that will make fully satisfactory provisions for 
America's defense against future trans-Pacific aggression.'

Fleet Admiral Chester W. Nimitz, Commander in Chief of the Pacific 
Fleetduring World War II had this to say at the Washington Monument on
5 October 1945 'The Japanese had, in fact, already sued for peace before
the atomic age was announced to the world with the destruction of 
Hiroshima and before the Russian entry into the war. "The atomic bomb
played no decisive part, from a purely military standpoint, in the defeat 
of Japan. . . ."]

Admiral William 'Bull' Halsey said in 1946:'The first atomic bomb was 
an unnecessary experiment. . . . It was a mistake to ever drop it.'

Henry H. "Hap" Arnold, commanding general of the U.S. Army Air
Forces said 'The Japanese position was hopeless even before the first
atomic bomb fell, because the Japanese had lost control of their own air.'

Even  right-wing Major General Curtis E. LeMay stated at press conferences
and  speaking said that the use of the bomb "had nothing to do with the end
of the war." He said the war would have been over in two weeks without 
the use of the atomic bomb or the Russian entry into the war."

And  later President Eisenhower once remarked ". . . it wasn't necessary to
hit them with that awful thing."

In the language of international humanitarian law there was no 'military necessity'
to drop either bomb. It was done to see what the effects would be, and to warn 
the Russia. 

Today, we stand on the verge of another World War, and like both of 
the previous ones it is about world domination, or who is going to
dominate the world. The US called World War II a 'War for Democracy.'

But, if that was true then why has the US occupied Japan and the Pacific
Islands since they were supposedly liberated?

Why did they deliberately test atomic weapons on Pacific Islanders?

Nagasaki was lucky in one regard. Hiroshima was mostly flat, but
Nagasaki had mountains that helped to limit the spread of the bobm.
But, it was a Crime Against Humanity!
It was genocide!

THE DUNKIN DONUT MAN

This is a repost from my first blog that I got locked out of..when I forgot my password.

I am reposting things from my first blog onto this one.

 




The photo: that´s me, and my cousin Bernadette Davis
in July 1969. I was going back to Vietnam. I volunteered.
Bernadette was a sweet human being who was a beautiful
on the inside as the outside. The outside was a reflection
of her soul. She didn´t have a bad bone in her body. RIP.

My first medevac from Vietnam took me to the Chelsea Naval
Hospital, then the rehab barrarcks, and after, to the Marine
Corps Barracks at the Charlestown Naval Yard.

Our ‘liberty’ (free time) started each day at 16:30. Shortly
before that time and after Marines were showering and getting
dressed in their ‘civvies’ – civilian clothes and on our way
to get drunk, laid or raise hell in general.

One of the days I was on one side of the squad bay; our living
quarters; two rows of bunk beds on opposite sides of the room.
There were two Marines on the other side and at the opposite
end from me. They hung out together.

The First Marine came out of the shower and said said to the
second Marine ‘Hey how’d it go at the bar last night?’

The Second Marine said ‘F*ck man, I thought I was going to
have to do a wolf’s shear. My arm was under her pillow when
I started to wake up. ’ (Wolf´shear refers to a phenomenon
in which a wolf gets it´s leg caught in a metal trap used
to catch a bear or other animal and will ‘shear’ or ‘chew’
its leg off to get out of the trap. The wolf realizes that
it’s vulnerable; it may not know that chewing its leg off
may cause death due to bleeding). It is acting on instinct
to avoid prey.

The First Marine said ‘was it that bad?’

Second Marine ‘How the f*ck would I know I was so drunk.
You know you’re waking up and it’s like ‘oh shit’ which
one was she? Oh f*ck what did I tell her, oh shit...how
did we get here, and how the hell am I gonna get outta here.’

First Marine ‘Hey, I told you we were going to meet up
with the others. We had a great time. So what happened?’

Second Marine ‘I woke up late today and was hurrying to
get back here before roll call. I told her I had to get
back quick or I’d miss roll call. I just made it. Then,
she said ‘Will I see you tonight?’ And, I was wondering
what the f**k did I say last night? I told her that I
didn’t know if I had duty tonight. She asked me about
tomorrow, and I said I know I got guard duty.’

First Marine ‘She get pissed?’

Second Marine ‘Hell ya. I thought she was gonna throw
something at me. She got up and said’ so was I just a
'one night stand?’ I said "no. you’re nice…it’s just that,
you know we’re not going out. I don’t know what I’m doing."

First Marine ‘Yoúd´ve been better off to say "ya", and not
show up. You should leave out the ´we´re not going out´´

I was almost dressed and she says you Marines are all alike;
just looking for a piece of ass for the night. Do you have
guard duty seven days a week?’

Second Marine ‘I didn’t think of that. It’s always when I’m
waking. I should’ve woken up earlier and got out.’

First Marine ‘You give em a big line of smoozing, and you
don´t think about what happens when you wake up."

That’s when I hesitantly said ‘Why don’t you do what I do?’

They looked at me and smirked, I was known for drinking,
getting into fights and brawls.

The Second Marine said ‘oh ya, what’s that?’ These two
Marines were a few years older than me and more suave;
I called them ‘The Everly Brothers.’

And I said "Look when you’re waking you’re muscles are
moving and even your body even before you’re awake, or
realize it. But, they know it."

The Marines said ‘No shit. So?’

I said ‘Just that if she starts to wake first you’ll
know, and she knows when you’re waking. The hardest
part, unless you want to see her again is to get out.
but, it’s a bit awkward when you just want to get out.’

The second Marine ‘Ya, so what do you do?’ They looked
at each other and smiled.

I said if I wake and think ´oh shit,´ and want to get
out I start kissing the back of her neck and shoulders
and telling her how nice it was, and how nice she is.

Then, I say ‘Let’s have breakfast in bed. How about if
I go get a half dozen donuts at Dunkin Donuts and some
coffee, and we have breakfast in bed?"

‘Ya, so what’ one of the Marines said, and I said 'I ask
if I should get some milk or anything else at the store,
and say I´ll pay for it. That way you can get dressed...
keep kissing and you can leave without ‘will I see you
again?’ and you´re gone.´

One of the Marines said ‘Man, that’s fucking cold.’ I
said ‘beats a wolf’s shear. And besides she may be happy
when I don’t come back. I only did it twice, but...’

The Second Marine pointed to his mate and said ‘Man, he’s
right, that’s really cold, but maybe I´ll try it sometime.’
I just nodded; they laughed, and I said that I didn't have
such a big head that I knew that the woman might be relieved
when I don't show up.' And, I stay away from that bar after
that.

I was on my way to see a steady girlfriend. Well, she was 24,
and married, separated and with two children. I was 18. But,
I´m a ´family kind of guy´ :-

After that day, there were times when I came into the barracks
and  one or both of those Marines would say out loud 'Hey, it´s
the Dunkin Donut man.' And, things like 'Hey, you buy any
donuts lately?'

´No need to when you´re with a married woman.´

And, soon some of the others had heard about it and called me
'Mr. Dunkin Donuts.'

It’s just being honest about myself. I wasn’t and am not perfect.
Oh, but I’m much more mature; I’m 60;-

Why I wouldn´t even ever think of doing that...now. I could
say (in Lisboa) ´how about I go to the Pasteleria...´ Naw

media often refers to  Palestinian 'extremists' or 'militants', but they never refer to
 Israeli's who drop bombs or shoot rockets or artillery shells loaded with depleted
uranium as 'extremist' or  'militants.' Never!

Albert Einstein once said "It would be my greatest sadness to see Zionists (Jews)
do to Palestinian Arabs much of what Nazis did to Jews." That is exactly what has
and is happening. And, it is a shame.

Just after Hitler came to power the Zionist Federation of Germany made a proposal
to the Reich that it help support Jewish migration to Palestine. Hitler himself agreed
and the Third Reich helped to fund, and give material support to the Zionist
movement from 1933-1940-41 which allowed for the migration of some '60,000
German Jews' to 'Palestine through the Ha'avara and other German-Zionist
arrangements.'

The Gestapo, the SS and other German ministries fully cooperated with Zionist
organizations, perhaps none more than, the SS. One of their officers, Leopold von
Mildenstein went on a 6 month tour of Palestine with Kurt Tuchler of the Zionist
Federation  'to assess Zionist development there.'

When Mr. Mildenstein returned to Gemany he wrote a 12 part series in the Berlin
newspaper Der Angriff; the title was "A Nazi Travels to Palestine." Touching. As
a result, Der Angriff produced a commemorative 'medal with a Swastika on one
side and a Star of David on the other side.'

Himmler's SS aided the Jewish military organization known as Haganah, in Palestine.
The Haganah were considered a terrorist organization by other countries, and were
the principal military force in 'The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine' (also a book by
Israeli historian Ilan Pappe), and later became known as the Israeli Defence Forces
 (a strange name for a colonizing army!)  The SS delivered 'German weapons to
Jewish settlers for use in clashes with Palestinian Arabs.'

Dr. Ludwig Pinner, a former official of the Ha'avara company in Palestine said this
"The economic activity made possible by the influx German capital and the Haavara
transfers...were of greatest importance for the country's development. Many new
industries and commercial enterprises were established in Jewish Palestine, and
numerous companies that are enormously important even today in the economy of
the State of Israel owe their existence to the Haavara."

The origins of the present state of Israel have their seed in Nazi Germany!

The war of 1948 was not just a war between to equal parties. There was and still
today what we call 'no equality of arms.' The white European Jews were colonizers
like the American colonialist, and the came armed with planes, tanks, machine guns,
flame throwers and other rifles and hand grenades. The Palestinians did not have
these things.

You misspeak about the Arab countries attacking in that the war for Palestine had
already been settled. Those Arab countries sent relatively small forces to make a
'show of force' to satisfy their own populations who were enraged at what was
happening to the Palestinian people.

In 1937 the Zionist leader David Ben Gurion, had this to say about their intentions
"We must expel Arabs and take their places." That is what the American colonialist
did to the Native peoples of America.

And in May 1948 David Ben Gurion issued these instructions to the General Staff:
 "We must use terror, assassination, intimidation, land confiscation, and the cutting
of all social services to rid the Galilee of its Arab population." TERROR!

Many years later he said the truth again, "Let us not ignore the truth among ourselves ...
politically we are the aggressors and they defend themselves... The country is theirs,
because they inhabit it, whereas we want to come here and settle down, and in their
view we want to take away from them their country." 

Finally, the Right of Return to ones country of origin and even their homes is an
internationally recognized right under eight different branches of international law.
Even the Israelis recognize the right of return to anyone who is Jewish even if they
were never born in Palestine. Yet they refuse to recognize that right to the very
people who were driven from their homes at the point of a gun: the Palestinian
people.

Truth and justice is on the side of the Palestinian people.

What I remember growing up in America was that Jewish people were on the
forefront of civil and human rights causes. On the night of 21 or 22 June 1964,
Andrew Goodman, age 20 and Michael Schwerner, age 24, both young Jewish men
were killed with  James Earl "J.E." Chaney, an African-American man were killed
by the KKK near Philadelphia, Mississippi during the 'Freedom Summer' campaign
to help register African-Americans vote.

Andrew Goodman and Michael Schwerner represented the best qualities of the
Jewish people in America and worldwide; It is 180 degrees different from the Zionist
in the state of Israel. And, what Zionism has done to the best qualities of Jewish
society and culture is sad.
