The people of Queens have stepped out, despite my not knowing any who
are readers of VT, and raised my hopes of some major push back against
the Israeliophobia which a huge majority of our Congress critters seem
so attached to.


I salute these fine people for setting the example for the rest of us. It is time for us to thank them by following suit.


This needs to be done to all US Congressman and every public
official sock-puppet for the Zionist murderers so they can be exposed in
their communities to wake people up. God only knows that the corporate
media editorialists are not going to do it.


If we don't get out of our total keyboard mode and get some
street action going there will be no example set for our children and
grandchildren as to what has always had to be done to dig out corruption
in government...massive exposure.


And that is what it is. If you write any of your
Congresscritters and ask them to inform you what they have ever done
about the rampant espionage here in in American, including even warning
people about it, if you get a reply at all it will be a very short one.


Be sure to mention "political espionage", also, as they will
squirm a little when they hear that term...as they probably never  have.
It is time to go back to our Vietnam War protest roots, and set another
example that we will not take this any more, this total submission to
the AIPAC Lobby.


LBJ was one of them most
powerful and ruthless politicians that this country ever had, and we
brought him to his knees. Many of the people who did that are still
around. Look around for them, and ask them to teach you how to do it. 
Something tells me they would be more than willing.

Protesters in New York City target the office of Congressman
Joseph Crowley for lending his unconditional support to Israel in its
current onslaught on the Gaza Strip, Press TV reports.



Rep. Crowley, the chair of the Queens Democratic Party and a
high-ranking Democrat in Washington, is a staunch ally of Israel and his
views appear increasingly at odds with his constituents. Public opinion
in New York’s 14th Congressional District which is represented by
Crowley is highly critical of Israel, local residents told Press TV’s
correspondent Caleb Maupin.


Hundreds of protesters, waving Palestinian flags, gathered outside
Crowley’s office on Wednesday to express their anger at their
representative in US Congress.


Queens resident Naeem Eslam slammed Washington’s military aid to
Israel which is used to fund the war in Gaza. “Just this past year they
increased the funds to $3.2 billion” a year.

“That is money that could be used in this country
to create jobs and help schools but instead it is being used by Israel
to kill innocent Palestinians,” he added.


Ron Duncan, another local resident, criticized Rep. Crowley
for putting Israel’s interests ahead of his district’s. “He wasn’t
elected to support Israel. He was elected to do a job for the people in
Queens.”

On Tuesday, police officers arrested 50 people in New York City who
were protesting against Israel’s war crimes in Gaza. The protesters had
gathered in front of the Israeli mission to the United Nations.


At least 1,360 Palestinians have been killed and over 7,600 others
wounded in the 24 days of relentless Israeli aerial and ground attacks
against the besieged Gaza Strip.


The onslaught has outraged much of the international community but
many US officials and members of Congress continue to support Israel’s
actions as “self-defense.”

On Monday, both Republican and Democratic
lawmakers gathered at an event hosted by the National Leadership
Assembly for Israel and expressed their opposition to any kind of
criticism of Israel’s offensive against Palestinians. “We’re here today
to stand with Israel,” House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) said at the
event. “As long as I’m Speaker of the House, this will be our cause.”

Meanwhile, a US military official said on Thursday that the United
States has allowed an American-owned munitions stockpile– comprising of
missiles, armored vehicles and artillery ammunition– to be used by
Israel as it pounds Gaza.


The emergency arms depot is located at a classified site inside Israel.

Hi Bob and Marie,
By the time you get this we'll be in Barcelona my favorite
European city, and soon back in Ecuador.

As the photo shows the beach is spectacular. Went
for a dip last night and this morning. I'll be 10 pounds
heavier before I leave here. You've no idea of how
delicious and wonderful Palestinian food is.

I can't get enough of Falafel, tabouli, hummus,
Baba Ghanoush, Mahshi dishes. The Pita bread
is light years better than the ones I made in Vermont!!
I'm a sucker for Baklawa (Baklava) and coffee. Mint
and also sage tea at night.

We are headed to the Nakba Memorial this afternoon.
Yet, as I write this the Mayor of Jerusalem and the President
of Palestine Israel (that was the compromise they worked out)
are both Palestinian. Both Palestinians and Jews voted them
in in a landslide vote.

Tonight we're are going to an Israeli Palestinian restaurant
that I've heard lots about. Being here reminds me of Ireland
in some ways; the people are very nice, and the police don't
carry weapons. Later

This is a repost from my first blog that I got locked out of..when I forgot my password.

I am reposting things from my first blog onto this one.

 




The photo: that´s me, and my cousin Bernadette Davis
in July 1969. I was going back to Vietnam. I volunteered.
Bernadette was a sweet human being who was a beautiful
on the inside as the outside. The outside was a reflection
of her soul. She didn´t have a bad bone in her body. RIP.

My first medevac from Vietnam took me to the Chelsea Naval
Hospital, then the rehab barrarcks, and after, to the Marine
Corps Barracks at the Charlestown Naval Yard.

Our ‘liberty’ (free time) started each day at 16:30. Shortly
before that time and after Marines were showering and getting
dressed in their ‘civvies’ – civilian clothes and on our way
to get drunk, laid or raise hell in general.

One of the days I was on one side of the squad bay; our living
quarters; two rows of bunk beds on opposite sides of the room.
There were two Marines on the other side and at the opposite
end from me. They hung out together.

The First Marine came out of the shower and said said to the
second Marine ‘Hey how’d it go at the bar last night?’

The Second Marine said ‘F*ck man, I thought I was going to
have to do a wolf’s shear. My arm was under her pillow when
I started to wake up. ’ (Wolf´shear refers to a phenomenon
in which a wolf gets it´s leg caught in a metal trap used
to catch a bear or other animal and will ‘shear’ or ‘chew’
its leg off to get out of the trap. The wolf realizes that
it’s vulnerable; it may not know that chewing its leg off
may cause death due to bleeding). It is acting on instinct
to avoid prey.

The First Marine said ‘was it that bad?’

Second Marine ‘How the f*ck would I know I was so drunk.
You know you’re waking up and it’s like ‘oh shit’ which
one was she? Oh f*ck what did I tell her, oh shit...how
did we get here, and how the hell am I gonna get outta here.’

First Marine ‘Hey, I told you we were going to meet up
with the others. We had a great time. So what happened?’

Second Marine ‘I woke up late today and was hurrying to
get back here before roll call. I told her I had to get
back quick or I’d miss roll call. I just made it. Then,
she said ‘Will I see you tonight?’ And, I was wondering
what the f**k did I say last night? I told her that I
didn’t know if I had duty tonight. She asked me about
tomorrow, and I said I know I got guard duty.’

First Marine ‘She get pissed?’

Second Marine ‘Hell ya. I thought she was gonna throw
something at me. She got up and said’ so was I just a
'one night stand?’ I said "no. you’re nice…it’s just that,
you know we’re not going out. I don’t know what I’m doing."

First Marine ‘Yoúd´ve been better off to say "ya", and not
show up. You should leave out the ´we´re not going out´´

I was almost dressed and she says you Marines are all alike;
just looking for a piece of ass for the night. Do you have
guard duty seven days a week?’

Second Marine ‘I didn’t think of that. It’s always when I’m
waking. I should’ve woken up earlier and got out.’

First Marine ‘You give em a big line of smoozing, and you
don´t think about what happens when you wake up."

That’s when I hesitantly said ‘Why don’t you do what I do?’

They looked at me and smirked, I was known for drinking,
getting into fights and brawls.

The Second Marine said ‘oh ya, what’s that?’ These two
Marines were a few years older than me and more suave;
I called them ‘The Everly Brothers.’

And I said "Look when you’re waking you’re muscles are
moving and even your body even before you’re awake, or
realize it. But, they know it."

The Marines said ‘No shit. So?’

I said ‘Just that if she starts to wake first you’ll
know, and she knows when you’re waking. The hardest
part, unless you want to see her again is to get out.
but, it’s a bit awkward when you just want to get out.’

The second Marine ‘Ya, so what do you do?’ They looked
at each other and smiled.

I said if I wake and think ´oh shit,´ and want to get
out I start kissing the back of her neck and shoulders
and telling her how nice it was, and how nice she is.

Then, I say ‘Let’s have breakfast in bed. How about if
I go get a half dozen donuts at Dunkin Donuts and some
coffee, and we have breakfast in bed?"

‘Ya, so what’ one of the Marines said, and I said 'I ask
if I should get some milk or anything else at the store,
and say I´ll pay for it. That way you can get dressed...
keep kissing and you can leave without ‘will I see you
again?’ and you´re gone.´

One of the Marines said ‘Man, that’s fucking cold.’ I
said ‘beats a wolf’s shear. And besides she may be happy
when I don’t come back. I only did it twice, but...’

The Second Marine pointed to his mate and said ‘Man, he’s
right, that’s really cold, but maybe I´ll try it sometime.’
I just nodded; they laughed, and I said that I didn't have
such a big head that I knew that the woman might be relieved
when I don't show up.' And, I stay away from that bar after
that.

I was on my way to see a steady girlfriend. Well, she was 24,
and married, separated and with two children. I was 18. But,
I´m a ´family kind of guy´ :-

After that day, there were times when I came into the barracks
and  one or both of those Marines would say out loud 'Hey, it´s
the Dunkin Donut man.' And, things like 'Hey, you buy any
donuts lately?'

´No need to when you´re with a married woman.´

And, soon some of the others had heard about it and called me
'Mr. Dunkin Donuts.'

It’s just being honest about myself. I wasn’t and am not perfect.
Oh, but I’m much more mature; I’m 60;-

Why I wouldn´t even ever think of doing that...now. I could
say (in Lisboa) ´how about I go to the Pasteleria...´ Naw

 Israeli's who drop bombs or shoot rockets or artillery shells loaded with depleted
uranium as 'extremist' or  'militants.' Never!

Albert Einstein once said "It would be my greatest sadness to see Zionists (Jews)
do to Palestinian Arabs much of what Nazis did to Jews." That is exactly what has
and is happening. And, it is a shame.

Just after Hitler came to power the Zionist Federation of Germany made a proposal
to the Reich that it help support Jewish migration to Palestine. Hitler himself agreed
and the Third Reich helped to fund, and give material support to the Zionist
movement from 1933-1940-41 which allowed for the migration of some '60,000
German Jews' to 'Palestine through the Ha'avara and other German-Zionist
arrangements.'

The Gestapo, the SS and other German ministries fully cooperated with Zionist
organizations, perhaps none more than, the SS. One of their officers, Leopold von
Mildenstein went on a 6 month tour of Palestine with Kurt Tuchler of the Zionist
Federation  'to assess Zionist development there.'

When Mr. Mildenstein returned to Gemany he wrote a 12 part series in the Berlin
newspaper Der Angriff; the title was "A Nazi Travels to Palestine." Touching. As
a result, Der Angriff produced a commemorative 'medal with a Swastika on one
side and a Star of David on the other side.'

Himmler's SS aided the Jewish military organization known as Haganah, in Palestine.
The Haganah were considered a terrorist organization by other countries, and were
the principal military force in 'The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine' (also a book by
Israeli historian Ilan Pappe), and later became known as the Israeli Defence Forces
 (a strange name for a colonizing army!)  The SS delivered 'German weapons to
Jewish settlers for use in clashes with Palestinian Arabs.'

Dr. Ludwig Pinner, a former official of the Ha'avara company in Palestine said this
"The economic activity made possible by the influx German capital and the Haavara
transfers...were of greatest importance for the country's development. Many new
industries and commercial enterprises were established in Jewish Palestine, and
numerous companies that are enormously important even today in the economy of
the State of Israel owe their existence to the Haavara."

The origins of the present state of Israel have their seed in Nazi Germany!

The war of 1948 was not just a war between to equal parties. There was and still
today what we call 'no equality of arms.' The white European Jews were colonizers
like the American colonialist, and the came armed with planes, tanks, machine guns,
flame throwers and other rifles and hand grenades. The Palestinians did not have
these things.

You misspeak about the Arab countries attacking in that the war for Palestine had
already been settled. Those Arab countries sent relatively small forces to make a
'show of force' to satisfy their own populations who were enraged at what was
happening to the Palestinian people.

In 1937 the Zionist leader David Ben Gurion, had this to say about their intentions
"We must expel Arabs and take their places." That is what the American colonialist
did to the Native peoples of America.

And in May 1948 David Ben Gurion issued these instructions to the General Staff:
 "We must use terror, assassination, intimidation, land confiscation, and the cutting
of all social services to rid the Galilee of its Arab population." TERROR!

Many years later he said the truth again, "Let us not ignore the truth among ourselves ...
politically we are the aggressors and they defend themselves... The country is theirs,
because they inhabit it, whereas we want to come here and settle down, and in their
view we want to take away from them their country." 

Finally, the Right of Return to ones country of origin and even their homes is an
internationally recognized right under eight different branches of international law.
Even the Israelis recognize the right of return to anyone who is Jewish even if they
were never born in Palestine. Yet they refuse to recognize that right to the very
people who were driven from their homes at the point of a gun: the Palestinian
people.

Truth and justice is on the side of the Palestinian people.

What I remember growing up in America was that Jewish people were on the
forefront of civil and human rights causes. On the night of 21 or 22 June 1964,
Andrew Goodman, age 20 and Michael Schwerner, age 24, both young Jewish men
were killed with  James Earl "J.E." Chaney, an African-American man were killed
by the KKK near Philadelphia, Mississippi during the 'Freedom Summer' campaign
to help register African-Americans vote.

Andrew Goodman and Michael Schwerner represented the best qualities of the
Jewish people in America and worldwide; It is 180 degrees different from the Zionist
in the state of Israel. And, what Zionism has done to the best qualities of Jewish
society and culture is sad.

Let's Get One thing straight; he latest operation by Israel, so-called 'Protective Edge'
is just one more pogrom against the Palestinian people. A pogrom is defined as 'an 
organized massacre of a particular ethnic group, in particular that of Jews in Russia 
or eastern Europe.' Today, and since 1948 the Zionist regime has made the Palestinians
as their ethnic group to massacre. 

In the war of 1948 the Palestinian people were ethnically cleansed from their
homes, farms, fields, businesses and lands of their ancestors just as Native Americans
were ethnically cleansed from the lands that they had once inhabited all across the
Americas.

Who did it? Some Zionist Jews of Europe. The good people. The 'people of the book.'

There are no indigenous white people in the Middle East, but Israel is full of white people
who came from abroad and with superior weaponry given to them by the Russians and
others attacked and ethnically cleansed the Palestinian people from almost the whole of
Palestine. They had warplanes, tanks, artillery and more! They were colonizers.

Zionist leaders planned to ethnically cleanse Palestine of the Palestinians who
lived there. The same crime that happened to them in Europe, the Zionist turned
right around and did it to the Palestinian peoples.

That makes it pretty clear, and there is far worse statements. And, as for the Right 
of Return which is guaranteed under international law, and Israel grants the Right of 
Return to Jews on planet Earth wherever they may be. However, it is not in their heart 
to say we have done wrong to these people. No. The Right of Return is not recognized 
by Israel as pertaining to the Palestinian people.

The right of Return is recognized under international law.
'Article 49(1) of the Geneva Convention IV provided: ‘Individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory to … any other country, occupied or not, are prohibited, regardless of their motive.’

Under international law the Palestinian peoples have the Right of Self-Determination'
and to wage armed struggle to get their former lands, farms, homes, fields and businesses

Let's get another thing straight: that means that the Palestinian people have the under 

international law to fire missiles at Israeli targets. But, they must not be indiscriminate.

That law applies equally to Israel.

This is not a battle or a war between to or more or less equal sides. In this war, there is 

no 'equality of arms!' What Israel is facing is a never ending resistance, a continuing war 

as the Palestinian peoples, like the Native peoples of the United States are Prisoners of War. 

And they are resisting their confinement, brutalization

So, every so often Israel bombs the living shit out of the civilians in the Gaza strip.

What does that list look like? It's nothing less than sending in the calvary 
to massacre some more Indians. What Israel does on a continual basis to
the Palestinian Prisoners of War is to go in with Planes, artillery, rockets,
and WMD's like depleted Uranium and go on a pogrom like others did to
them.
